Reunion is on a cyclonic pre-alert!
It is not a cyclone, but a small tropical depression. As forecasters of Météo-France Réunion had been underlining it for several days, the system weakened, the strong tropical storm became moderate, then a simple depression. Be careful, however, the wind associated with this phenomenon should reach 100 km / h in gusts in the second part of the day and sustained precipitation is expected in the East, North and North-West. Avoid unnecessary travel or undertaking outdoor work that has no urgency.
This Monday morning, it is generally gray in the east and fine in the west. Before noon, the clouds settled over the entire department, only the area between Saint-Leu and La Possession was spared. The rain invites itself from the beginning of the afternoon on the plains, the southwest coast and the interior of the department. The east and the north see the showers intensify. This degradation will affect the Northwest before nightfall.
Wind gusts at 100km / h on the heights
The wind sets in the east in the morning shifting to the south in the afternoon. We expect gusts of 100 km / h on the volcano and all the heights of the department. The beaches of the West are not spared with peaks of 70 to 80 km / h.
Despite Danilo’s arrival, temperatures remain high. It should be 28 to 33 ° C on the coast, 22 to 26 under the clouds away from the foothills of the cirques, 17 at Maïdo and 19 ° C at the Pas de Bellecombe-Jacob.
The seas are rough on the East, the South and the North. It is agitated on the South-West and the West.
