What’s next for the Benediktushöhe in Retzbach? The diocese of Würzburg, the government of Lower Franconia and the Main-Spessart district office dealt with this at a “round table” on Wednesday.
According to the diocese, sales negotiations are currently underway. There are several interested parties who want to buy the conference center. There are also plans to take in refugees there. The government wants to rent the Benediktushöhe for this. The building is currently being tested for fire protection, among other things, so that people can live in it in the future.
The Benediktushöhe conference center in Retzbach has been around for more than 40 years. At the end of last year, the diocese closed the conference center for cost reasons.
