Housemarque, which already belongs to Sony Interactive Entertainment (or, more precisely, as part of the PlayStation Studios bond) tal may suggest that Returnal, which has also been hailed as a success by Sony, may be preparing for early 2022 content updates.
The rogue-like, bullet-hell-looking, action-packed action game is currently only available on the PlayStation 5 (and with the knowledge of Sony, it may pop up on PCs two years later…), and Housemarque has now started advertising something suspicious. on Twitter, with a slightly incorrect grammar. In addition to the attached image, although there is the #Returnal hashtag (which confirms the origin of the image), “Atropos ..?” two points became three instead of three, which is how to say inaccurate…
There is a problem with the image: we don’t know exactly what Housemarque was referring to, as we can’t really identify the environment; the bioma looks new. And the picture quality looks like a camera, so someone picked up their cell phone and the photo-taking button on the device in front of the television popped. It looks like some stony thing in the picture, maybe it could be a deer helmet, maybe a head. It could be one of the sculptures, although here we can really only guess strongly.
“Atropos ..?” and a comment may suggest that the Returnal the picture was taken at Atropos, where Selene is, but Selene may go somewhere else. As a result, we can prepare for a new location, which may indicate a new DLC. If we are not mistaken, the announcement can take place during this year’s The Game Awards, and it will be held on December 9th, and in Hungary on the 10th.
It will be the last big video player event of the year, as it will be Christmas Eve two weeks after that, and people will rather trample on the last loaf of bread in the shops. Geoff Keighley, organizer of The Game Awards, has promised a big show that could change the face of the gaming industry as there will be so many announcements. Of course, it is natural to doubt this, because we have no view at all on the content behind the advertisement.
