Return to offices? Apple employees are rioting

Apple was just one of many companies to allow its employees to work from home in the fight against coronavirus. However, as the situation improved, Cook announced to employees last week that they would have to return partially to the offices from September – they should spend at least three days a week in them.

But this plan did not meet with understanding among some employees. Together, they wrote a letter addressed to the company’s management. They argue that working from home is still possible.

“We would like to report growing concerns among colleagues about the planned return to the offices,” The Verge quoted the letter as saying. He also noted that some employees have already decided to resign because of Apple’s approach to working from home.

The BBC stressed that Apple was unlikely to comply with the pressure. The American computer giant is far more conservative about the home office than other technology companies.

For example, a year ago, Twitter offered its employees the opportunity to work from home “forever” if their job allows, the BBC server reminded.
