On August 9, students from the National Autonomous University of Mexico will return to classrooms for the 2021-2022 school year. For this reason, he announced the guidelines to be followed, but in the same way pointed out that each faculty and institute can take the measures it deems necessary and even change the date.
It is important to note that students do not have the obligation to attend in person, which means that the return to classrooms at UNAM will be voluntary for the students.

Guidelines to follow
The presence of students may only be mandatory when the epidemiological traffic light is green for three consecutive weeks. If not, the online education modality should be maintained.
This means that the remote modality will be maintained at least until the next semester, after the technical councils decide the exceptions.
When the opportunity to return is given, the UNAM must do so in a staggered manner, this to avoid a rebound in the number of Covid cases. Priority will be given to new students, so that they can get to know the facilities and become familiar with them.
On the other hand, events such as exams, conferences, among others, may only have 20% capacity. Extracurricular activities that are not priority must remain remote until further notice.

Finally, the use of face masks will be mandatory at all times, and the opening of new groups and educational spaces will be determined according to the progress of the vaccination plan against Covid and the sanitary conditions that exist.
