The president of the transition announced through a press release published on October 10, 2023, the resumption of patriotic singing in schools in Gabon.
It is now official in Gabon, students will return to singing the National Anthem. According to the press release, students in public and private establishments in Gabon must raise the flag and sing the national anthem every Monday before the start of classes and do the same ritual on Friday at the end of classes for the lowering of the flag.
The president of the transition indicated attached “ of the price for this decision and promises regular checks to ensure that all educational establishments in Gabon respect this decision ».
This measure concerns the primary and secondary cycle, public and private denominational and secular establishments throughout the national territory. Note that this decision by the president of the transition is not new. It has long been practiced in Gabon.
