sport">The organization already took serious account of the possibility that there would be no racing at Circuit Zandvoort this year. Nevertheless, policymakers remained open to a race without an audience, if that request came from Formula One Management. Both parties concluded that a GP is not possible later in the year.
sport">“We would like to celebrate this moment, the return of Formula 1 in Zandvoort, together with our racing fans in the Netherlands,” says director Jan Lammers. “We ask everyone to be patient for a while. I had to look forward to it for 35 years, so I can wait another year. ”
sport">No new date has yet been set for the race in 2021. All tickets that have already been bought for the Dutch GP remain valid, but buyers can also get their money back. For the three race days in Zandvoort, tickets for 300,000 spectators were sold.
