During the Whitsun long weekend, life in Siófok will revive again and the 2024 season of Plázs, now in its 9th year, which is the epicenter of the Balaton summer, will begin, with several free concerts. This year, we can expect an even longer season than last year, and as a result, even more top performers and a “partying” weekend. The festival-standard main stage, which has been completely renovated both technically and externally, will further enhance the concert experience.
It is now the 9th year that Plázs in Siófok has been a stronghold of recreation for all ages every summer. The sandy beach in the middle of Siófok Nagystrand offers various opportunities for relaxing by the water during the day, while the evening parties and concerts feature the best of the domestic electronic and pop-rock-hip-hop scene.
Last year, the events attracted around 315,000 visitors, and this year there is a good chance that this peak will be surpassed, as we will be able to see more than 35 concerts over the 17 weekends. In addition to the big returnees, such as Azahriah, Majka, Magdi Rúzsa, Edda, Neoton, Dzúdló, Krúbi, Tamás Horváth, Follow The Flow, BSW, Kowalsky and Vega, several productions will debut at the technically and externally completely renewed festival standard on the main stage, where huge LED walls make the already unique atmosphere of the Balaton concert experience even more impressive.
This year, in cooperation with the city of Siófok and Plázs, the opening weekend of Pentecost will take place on May 17-20. between Siófok Nagystrand. A cavalcade of family and leisure programs awaits all those interested in the Nagystrand area, and the diverse musical programs of the season opener will be held on the renovated main stage of Plázs. After daytime programs and children’s programs, Blahalouisiana will give a free concert on Friday, Hooligans on Saturday, and TNT on Sunday.
Life at the Plázs doesn’t end with the concerts, because on Saturday, the top domestic DJs will continue the atmosphere at several locations at the Plázs Grand Opening, while on Sunday Dj Dominique and the Fergeteg party will be waiting for those who want to party.
