Dobrich. Thousands of residents and guests of Dobrich visited the fifth edition of the Retro Parade for vintage and classic cars and bikes. Among the interesting exhibits was the car of the beloved cartoon character Fred Flintstone. The attractive vehicle was parked proudly next to valuable models that were created a century ago and today continue to be unique jewels in their owners’ fleets and homes.
The Flintstone car is owned by Yordanka Gospodova from Panagyurishte, and the year of production is recorded as the year when the film was created – 1959. The organizer of the Retro Parade, Petar Georgiev, who is the chairman of the Tolbukhin Auto Moto Club, made a special demonstration for Bgtourism .bg how the Flintstone car moves.
Petar Georgiev pointed out that 147 cars and motorcycles from all over the country participated in this year’s edition of the Retro Parade.
Among the visitors, not only Bulgarian, but also German, English, Russian and Polish speech could be heard. A large number of tourists in the neighboring resorts today attended the event along with the local residents. Interest was attracted by the Chevrolet International car from 1929, which is owned by Petar Petrov from the Dobrich auto-moto club.
Among the participants was the Trabant 600 of Kolyo Tonchev – the father of folk singers Preslava and Ivelina Koleva.
This year, among the participants there are also Englishmen with 4 cars, which are “Lincoln”, “Corvette” and others. The event is realized with the support of the municipality of Dobrich and partners of the Dobrich auto-moto club. The best were awarded with beautiful cups.
