Indexation of pensions in 2021 – how much will it be? Mateusz Morawiecki wrote a special letter to seniors, in which he assured them about the payment of additional pensions and its valorization. The text of the letter was published “Super Express”.
“I KNOW” published a letter from Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to retirees and pensioners. In this letter, the head of government assures that, despite the coronavirus pandemic, additional benefits will be paid for them – the 13th and 14th pensions, and that pensions will be indexed next year.

“Many of you are asking yourself whether during such enormous expenses there will still be enough money to guarantee the 13th and the 14th promised retirement pension. So I want to emphasize that it is the means for pensions guaranteed in the new budget law in the first place. During the crisis, it is the people most in need and most threatened with the consequences of the epidemic who should be sure of tomorrow. Pensions – those that you already receive and those that our government has promised – will go to seniors” – Morawiecki writes in the letter he publishes “Super Express”.

The Prime Minister points out that valorization of pensions will be at least PLN 50.
“Moreover, we do not forget about valorization. Next year, we will add at least PLN 50 to each of the lowest pensions, so that from year to year, especially the lowest benefits, will consistently grow. Although the situation of retirees in Poland is much better today than 5 years ago, the goal we set for ourselves is still ahead of us” – wrote Mateusz Morawiecki.

Pension increase in 2021 it is supposed to be minimal. The indexation ratio proposed by the government does not exceed 4 percent. This means that retirees will be able to count on small pension increases. The government wants the indexation of pensions in 2021 to be the statutory minimum. The ratio was proposed at 3.84 percent.
The minimum pension, currently PLN 1,200, next year it will amount to PLN 1,246.08. If someone has a pension of PLN 1,500, he will get PLN 1,557.60 in the new year.
