As every year, in the second half of January, ZUS started sending PIT-40A, PIT-11A and PIT-11 declarations. This year’s shipment will last until mid-February. Before March 1, all those who received a benefit from ZUS at least once in 2021 will receive a tax declaration. What’s next? Who can decide that the rest will be dealt with by the tax authorities, and who still has to submit an annual tax return – annual PIT for 2021?
At the end of January, the Social Insurance Institution began sending approx. 10 million PIT tax declarations to all who received social security benefits in 2021. They should reach all interested parties by mid-February. This is important, because on February 15, the e-PIT campaign is launched, under which the tax office prepares for most taxpayers ready-made tax returns for the previous year, which can be accepted and also corrected if necessary.

- PIT-40A will be provided to retirees and pensioners who received benefits from ZUS at least in December. This declaration will also go to people who have used the benefit or pre-retirement allowance, teacher’s compensation benefit or social pension.
- PIT-11A is information about income for people who received sickness and maternity benefits. The form will also be given to recipients who have tax overpayment and persons who, at the time of tax settlement, are no longer ZUS beneficiaries.
- PIT-11, in turn, will be provided to people who received last year’s benefit due after the deceased person or alimony deducted from the benefit paid by ZUS for alimony persons on the basis of a court judgment or settlement.
