This is what was announced by the president of the transition, General Oligui Nguema, during his end-of-year speech.
In Gabon, the president of the transition has committed to ensuring that retirement pensions will be paid. To this end he indicated that: “ I would particularly like to address my fathers, mothers and elders who have asserted their retirement rights as I witness the difficulties you face on a daily basis. », recalled General Oligui Nguéma who overthrew the Ali Bongo regime on August 30.
« I undertake to start paying your pension reminder by February 2024 », he announced in this first message of greetings in his capacity as head of state.
Remember that it is the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) which is responsible for paying these pensions. But the latter does not always satisfy these retirees.
