“Retired Saudi Security Officer Dies after Saving His Son from Drowning: Social Media Pays Tribute”

Many social media pioneers expressed their sympathy and grief after the death of a recently retired Saudi security officer, who died after saving his young child from drowning.

The “Half Moon” beach in Al-Khobar Governorate in the eastern region of the Kingdom witnessed an incident described as painful and cruel after the retired Brigadier General, Salem Al-Selhi, breathed his last after he managed to save his 10-year-old son from death by drowning.

Al-Sahli, 53, had recently retired with the rank of brigadier general after completing his years of service in the General Directorate of Passports in the capital, Riyadh.

The late brother explained in an interview with the newspaper, “OkazThe local newspaper reported that the “painful incident” took place on Thursday afternoon, saying: “After my brother saved his child, he fell and died, and he was transferred last Saturday to Al-Majma’ah Governorate to pray for him and bury him.”

Activists on the communication sites saw the incident as an expression of the highest feelings of fatherhood, her easy body saving his son.
