Retired General George Nader Warns of Escalating Tensions in Southern Lebanon in Interview with Lebanon Debate

“Lebanon Debate”

In light of the developments taking place on the southern front, retired Brigadier General George Nader said in an interview with Lebanon Debate that “military actions are expanding day after day, and unfortunately the initiative has fallen into the hands of the Israeli enemy.”

He pointed out that “Israel possesses the technology and a network of agents that enable it to hunt down Hezbollah officials, even though they do not use phones, given that the party is very cautious. However, there is a network of agents with a complex technological network, which enabled the enemy to target them with ease, even in depth.” “Lebanese.”

He considered that “Israel, unfortunately, has regained the initiative in southern Lebanon, as well as in Gaza,” pointing out that “things may escalate further in the next stage, as the more the enemy relaxes in Gaza, the more he will escalate in southern Lebanon.”

He added, “It seems that Israel is more comfortable today, especially since it is the one imposing the terms of the truce today, and this means that it is no longer living under great pressure, especially from the families of the Israeli prisoners.”

He touched on the measure of profit and loss, noting that “Lebanon has lost 214 martyrs from Hezbollah members to date, and up to 46 civilians, including journalists. This means that 82% of the martyrs are fighters, and this is in contrast to the general course of wars in the world, considering that Civilians are the ones who should be the largest number of victims, and this means that Hezbollah is “in crisis” in its fight against Israel, and is going through its most difficult times.

He believed that “the next stage may witness major developments, as all things are possible. Any ‘delicate’ target that the enemy is lurking around will be targeted by him, even if there is a truce, as ethics are missing.”
