The retired actress celebrates Effects of the wiseOn her birthday today, Thursday, May 18, and she obtained a BA in English from the Faculty of Arts, Ain Shams University. She started her artistic career since the mid-seventies, during her role in the series “Without Reproach”, in the starring role accompanied by the star Youssef Shaaban, and she appeared for the first time in the cinema in 2008. 1979 through her first movie, “Al-Ma’a’in” directed by Ahmed Yassin.
During her career, she presented a number of films, most notably “A Killer Didn’t Kill Anyone,” “The Strange Brothers,” “A Secret Visit,” “I Don’t Lie, But I Beautify,” “Who Extinguishes the Fire,” “The Killer,” “The Kingdom of Hallucinations,” “Ayoub.” “The Poor Do Not Enter Heaven,” “The Fox and the Grapes,” “The Hand,” “The Lawful Wins,” “The Last Scene,” “Love Above the Pyramid Hill,” “The Conqueror of Time,” “The Saidi Man,” “Bird in the Sky,” “A Hero from Paper”, “Karakeeb”, “The Turgoman’s Nest”, “The Last Game”, “The Troublemakers and the Captain”, “The Search for Sayed Marzouk” and other films.
In the drama, she participated in the series “Nothing Matters” in 1977, “The Man I Love,” “Fasting Fasting,” “So that Love Does Not Suffocate,” “The Travel of Dreams,” “Love and Other Things,” “Al-Zanclouni,” and “Nights of Dream.” The second and third parts, “Cain and Abel”, “Farewell, Spring of Life”, “My Heart Is Not in My Pocket”, “A Thousand and One Nights”, “The Taming of the Fierce”, “Zizinia” Part One, “A Tale Without Beginning and End”, “We We do not sow thorns”, “Removal Order”, “Fleeing from Love”, “Fresca”, “Jellyfish”, “Love After Deliberation”.
Athar Al-Hakim announced her retirement from acting in 2010 due to the lack of suitable roles for her, after she participated in her latest work entitled “The String Al-Masdoud” in 2009, along with Kamal Abu Rayya, His Excellency Zayed, Sameh Al-Suraiti, Rania Youssef, Khairiya Ahmed, Ahmed Khalil, Nadia Fahmy.
