Compared to November 2020, the most significant increase in turnover was in retail sale via mail order houses or via Internet (by 35.1%) and retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (by 6.2%). The decrease in turnover was in retail sale of cultural and recreational goods (by 15.5%), retail sale of hardware, tools and construction materials and sanitary equipment (by 14.9%) and retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (by 14.6%).
The total turnover of retail trade enterprises at current prices, excluding the effect of calendar days, increased by 5.9%.
November 2021 compared to October, according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices, the turnover of retail trade enterprises decreased by 3.6%. Retail trade in food products decreased by 1.4%. Retail trade in non-food products, excluding retail sale of automotive fuel, decreased by 5.3%, retail sale of automotive fuel decreased by 4%.

The largest decrease in turnover was in retail sale via stalls and markets (by 20.9%), retail sale of clothing, footwear and leather goods (by 19.4%) and retail sale of pharmaceutical and medical goods (by 9.4%).
In November 2021, compared to October, the total turnover of retail trade enterprises at current prices, excluding seasonality, decreased by 5.4%.
In November, the retail trade turnover of food products grew slightly faster than before and was 2.6% higher than in November 2020.
The retail turnover of fuel at petrol stations in November was similar to the previous month and decreased by 2.4% compared to November 2020.
In general, in January-November of this year, the retail trade turnover increased by 1.8%, according to the Ministry of Economics (MoE).
Retail trade in non-food products increased by 1.7%, retail trade in fuel increased by 6%, while trade in food products remained virtually unchanged at 0.4%.
The MoE predicts that the future retail situation will also be affected by the spread of Covid-19 infection and measures to control it. Citizens are still encouraged to make the most of the opportunities offered by distance selling and, consequently, to visit outlets less frequently.
CONTEXT:
In October 2021, compared to October 2020, retail trade turnover decreased by 2.3%. Turnover in September compared to September 2020 increased by 3.9%. Turnover in August compared to August 2019 increased by 4.4%. In July, compared with July last year, it grew by 3.8% in June retail sales turnover increased by 4.6%. In May and April, on the other hand, annual retail trade turnover decreased respectively by 0.6% a 9%due to the Covid-19 crisis and the measures taken to control the spread of the infection.
