Resumption of ship crossings from the Isthmus of Corinth.
As it was announced and as it had already been announced, from May 1, 2024, the Corinth Canal is operational for shipping.
The Canal will operate, normally, throughout the summer, since shipping and tourism must be served.
In mid-Autumn, the channel will be closed again so that work can start again on the slopes to prevent landslides.
This is a large and difficult project, since an extensive intervention is being carried out to definitively solve the problem with landslides.
