Dijon FCO reports positive Covid-19 among players
Before training resumed, Dijon FCO carried out a Covid-19 screening on the professional team, members of the technical staff and the administrative staff. And the results of serological and PCR tests revealed a positive case for the coronavirus. The detected case is a player of the team of Stéphane Jobard. As a reminder, 19 members of the technical and administrative staff were subjected to screening on Monday, June 22. As for the 25 professional players, they complied with the protocol on Wednesday June 24. “The medical staff of Dijon FCO is mobilized to support the player and will schedule the additional examinations stipulated in the health protocol in force,” said the Burgundian club.
Another DFCO player also confined to his home
According to the DFCO, another player, whose tests have turned out to be negative, will stay at his home for a few days while waiting for additional exams. Despite the reported case of Covid-19 and the “suspected case”, the Reds will continue training normally, Saturday and the following days. Note that this week, ASSE, AS Monaco, Montpellier HSC, Toulouse FC, and PSG have reported positive cases, during tests carried out before their resumption.
