Zayo City
After stopping for two years, asphalting work was recently resumed on a group of streets and alleys in various neighborhoods of the city of Zayo, as part of a previous project that was halted for technical reasons before it was revived.
The project was launched years ago, but some factors interfered; Including the Corona crisis and the rise in prices, which led to the company in charge of completion stopping work due to the high prices of materials used in asphalt works.
After a pause that lasted for nearly two years, the works were resumed through a partnership that brought together the Ministry of National Territorial Preparation, Construction, Housing and City Policy, the “Omrane” company, the Nador prefecture, and the Zayo community.
The asphalt project will include various neighborhoods of the city, with the exception of residential retail, as preparing and rehabilitating the latter is common for retail owners.
The asphalt works will continue for ten (10) months, and will be completed gradually, which will ensure the smooth flow of traffic and circulation in the various neighborhoods.
Residents of a number of city neighborhoods have previously demanded that the streets and alleys be paved, especially after the work began and then stopped, which led to difficulties in walking in the streets and alleys.
