About thirty motorcycles including particularly interesting models, even prestigious were included in a sale of a hundred lots (see our selection here). If the models of American origin struggled to find buyers, the popular small ones were more successful.
They were 12 out of 31 not to meet the expectations of sellers. And when the deals went through, the auctions stayed below the estimated range. On the other hand, for small French machines, they are the exception that proves the rule. Here are a few examples: Motobécane D 45 S: auctioned for 900 euros (estimate between 600 and 800 euros). Peugeot 175 TC4: auctioned 1,500 euros (estimate between 800 and 1,200 euros). Motoconfort C 45 S: auctioned for 630 euros (estimate between 500 and 600 euros). Terrot 500 RGST: auctioned for 5,200 euros (estimate between 4,500 and 5,000 euros).
Our selection had retained this beautiful René Gillet 750 type G. Estimated between 12,000 and 15,000 euros, it will convince until it reaches the sum of 18,800 euros.
For this 250cc Motobécane from the end of the twenties, the bids went up to 1,800 (estimate between 2,500 and 3,500 euros). It won’t be enough for the lot to change hands.
Ditto for this extremely rare Raymo 300 cm3 which is only credited with an auction at 2,000 euros: (estimate between 2,000 and 3,000 euros): unsold.
We will be slightly more generous for the Kœhler Escoffier 250 cm3 (estimate between 2,000 and 3,000 euros): auctioned 2,100 euros.
