The Peru Cup started in the ‘city of eternal spring’ with the start of the Trujillo league, the same one that has some favorite teams like the UNT, Alfonso Ugarte de Chiclín and Carlos Tenaud.
However, on the first day the main protagonist was Training Gol, which thrashed Atlético Peruano 9-0 in a duel that they dominated from start to finish and that made them dream of advancing in the ‘macho football tournament’.
While the traditional Alfonso Ugarte from Chiclín got more complicated than he should have with Universitario UPAO, with whom he ended up drawing 1-1 and leaving some doubts about his performance.
The UNT could not come out unscathed either on this first date of the Trujillo League; It did not go beyond the 1-1 draw against Alianza Libertad, which, on the contrary, left positive sensations in its performance.
For his part, Carlos Tenaud, led by former striker Antonio Meza Cuadra, did assert his role as favorite and thrashed his rival from Deportivo Palermo 4-0. The ‘taita’ team dreams of regaining prominence in the Peru Cup.
It is important to point out that the duel between Atlético Medellín and Carlos Orbegoso was suspended because both teams appeared on the field of play with similar uniforms. A decision must be made in the next few hours.
For the second date, the most attractive duel will be played by Alfonso Ugarte de Chiclín and UNT, forced to win so as not to get complicated at the start of the Peru Cup.
