With Lando Norris on pole position and Max Verstappen in second place, the Dutch Grand Prix got underway. Verstappen immediately took the lead, but didn’t have enough speed to create a gap later in the stint. Norris passed the home driver at the start of lap 18 and sped away.
Ultimately, the victory would no longer be in danger for the McLaren driver. Norris was much faster than the rest of the field and dealt a heavy blow to Verstappen, who did finish in second place. Behind him, the battle for the last podium place was interesting. Charles Leclerc eventually emerged as the winner after a mediocre pit stop at George Russell and a nice battle with Oscar Piastri. Norris’ teammate finished in P4, Carlos Sainz completed the top five.
