BOLASPORT.COM – Men’s singles badminton player, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, managed to bring Indonesia ahead of South Korea in the quarter-finals of the 2023 Asian Mixed Team Championships.
Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo won the opening match for Indonesia vs South Korea at the Dubai Exhibition Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Friday (17/2/2023).
Chico successfully overthrew South Korea’s representative, Lee Yun-gyu, in a 45-minute match with a final score of 21-17, 21-16.
This result made Indonesia temporarily 1-0 ahead of South Korea.
Course of the Match
Despite winning two straight games, Chico’s victory started with a bad performance.
Going down in the opening party made Chico look tense and made many unforced errors in a row.
Chico trailed quickly 0-3. It was precisely the confidence of his opponent, Lee Yun-gyu, that was fostered so that the world number 239 player succeeded in winning 5-1.
However, Chico continued to try to keep pace.
