Results of Restaurant Cluster Tracing in Semarang, 20 People Exposed to Covid-19

SEMARANG, KOMPAS.com – As many as 20 people were confirmed positive for Covid-19 after the swab test was carried out on 30 people from restaurant cluster in the Krobokan area, Semarang.

The new cluster started after the City Health Office Semarang know that a patient exposed to Covid-19 is hospitalized.

Head of Semarang City Health Office Abdul Hakam said that his party then forwarded the information to the local health center for immediate tracing of close contact with the patient’s family.

“We have swab 30 close contacts. The results are positive 20. Currently 18 people have been handled by the health office at the Rumdin Isolation House, two others are being treated in hospital because there are complaints of shortness of breath. ” Hakam said in his statement on Friday (11/09/2020).

His party appealed to the public not to worry and to be more selective in receiving information related to the restaurant cluster.

“I emphasize that the information on places to eat along with the names spread in the WAG as it is now is not official from the health office,” he said.

According to him, all names of patients confirmed by Covid-19 must be protected in relation to a code of ethics, except for medical treatment purposes.

“God willing, all (patients) will be handled properly by the health office. So ask the public not to be anxious, and again be wise in receiving information. Stay healthy, discipline health protocols by always wearing a mask, washing your hands diligently and avoiding crowds. ” he concluded.
