Results of Preliminary Rounds of CAF Cup: Milo FC and SOAR Academy Set for Return Matches

Milo FC and the SOAR Academy entered the competition this Saturday in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Cup. If the Kankan club received Dreams FC in Conakry, the academicians were on the move in Mauritania to challenge the Amical des Douanes.

For this first leg of the double confrontation against the Ghanaians of Dreams FC, Milo could not do better than a draw in front of their supporters at the General Lansana Conté stadium in Nongo 1-1. The visitors opened the scoring through Gaël in the 34th minute before the blue and whites equalized through Mohamed Bamba in the 75th minute. Everything will therefore be decided in the return match next week in Ghana.

Traveling to Nouakchott, the SOAR Academy can harbor regrets against the Amical des Douanes despite the draw obtained 2-2. The academicians however opened the scoring in the 38th minute by Ibrahim Sylla before even succeeding in the break by Abdoulaye Camara in the 40th minute. While everything seemed to be going well for the Guineans, the locals woke up when they returned from the locker room to set the record straight thanks to El Yacoub in the 54th and Beatty in the 57th minute. This Sunday, it will be Hafia FC’s turn in the Champions League. The Babata faces the Senegalese Generation Foot at the Nongo stadium in the first leg of the first preliminary round.
