This was confirmed after Ahsan / Hendra defeated non-seeded British representatives, Ben Lane / Sean Vendy, Thursday (18/3/2021) in the morning WIB.
Playing at the Utilita Arena Birmingha, Ahsan / Hendra won in the rubber game with a score of 21-18, 19-21, and 21-19.
This victory made Ahsan / Hendra follow Marcus Fernaldi Gideon / Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo who successfully advanced to the second round first.
Marcus / Kevin won the last 16 tickets after defeating non-seeded British representatives, Mathew Clare / Ethan Van Leeuwen.
Furthermore, Ahsan / Hendra will again face the European pair in the second round.
Ahsan / Hendra will compete for tickets to the quarter-finals with non-seeded Danish representatives, Jeppe Bay / Lasse Molhede.

Ahsan / Hendra and Lane / Vendy seemed to be playing very carefully until the position drew 5-5.
