In mid-October, Mitsubishi introduced updated Eclipse Cross… The crossover received an updated radiator grille, bumpers and headlights, while the rear door and the branded glass section were redesigned.

Australia and New Zealand were the first countries in whose markets the car is already available. Japan and North America will soon follow. Together with the start of sales, the Mitsubishi press service decided to tell more about the new product.

The model update has increased the luggage compartment by 18%, now its volume is 405 liters (excluding the space under the floor), while the total length of the car has increased by 140 mm.

Engineers have focused on improving vehicle handling and driver comfort. The crossover is available with both front and all-wheel drive. In the second case, it is equipped with an electronically controlled all-wheel drive system in conjunction with S-AWC, which takes over control of the dynamic stability control and traction control, anti-lock braking system and active cornering control system to regulate braking force and torque.

The car received modern driver assistance technologies: adaptive cruise control, a frontal collision mitigation system, a lane departure warning system, monitoring blind spots when changing lanes and automatic high beams in response to acceleration, deceleration or stop of vehicles or objects in front.

Inside, the Eclipse Cross gets a black interior with silver accents and light gray leather seats. Standard equipment will include an improved infotainment system with an 8-inch screen that has been moved closer to the driver and front passenger and equipped with physical switches.

The multimedia has been equipped with built-in autonomous navigation, which is integrated into the TomTom satellite navigation system. All trim levels have the ability to connect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Finally, the engineers tried to improve the surround sound system, which includes a 510 watt amplifier and 8 speakers.

The engine remains the same – it’s a 1.5-liter four-cylinder petrol turbo engine, which is paired with a variator. Drive – front or full. Also, the crossover coupe will have an electric hybrid version with the ability to recharge. This model will be the second Mitsubishi PHEV after the Outlander.

Now in Russia, the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2020 model year costs from 2,070,000 rubles.
