This Monday there are no new basic health zones (ZBS) with mobility restrictions, but they remain at 15, in which there is still a high incidence of coronavirus, while they rise in three areas and one town. In the 15 areas where entry and exit restrictions continue, 301,000 people from Madrid live, 4.5% of the region’s population, and account for 7.3% of contagion cases. This is a significant reduction in the measures, since last week 25 basic areas and eight localities were closed, which meant that 5.9% of the population was confined.

These are, one by one, the measures of the Community of Madrid:

Restrictions by basic health zones

A health ZBS is not a neighborhood or a district, it is a set of streets that belong to the same health center. To find out if you live in a confined area or the incidence of the virus in your neighborhood, enter your street in this search engine.

– New restricted areas. None.

– Zones in which the limitations end. The residents of the basic health areas of Andrés Mellado (Chamberí district), General Oraá (Salamanca district) and Vinateros-Torito (Moratalaz district), all in the capital Madrid; as well as in the town of Hoyo de Manzanares.

– Areas that were already closed that are maintained. The entire municipality of Torrejón de Ardoz (six ZBS), Collado Villalba (three zones), San Sebastián de los Reyes (four zones), in the basic zone remain restricted for one more week, until 00:00 on Monday, March 15. de María Curie, in Leganés, and the Villanueva del Pardillo health area.

In these areas, the extra measure applies:

-Perimeter closure. Entry and exit are prohibited, except for “adequately justified trips” by means of a document (here you can download the receipt to enter or leave for work reasons or to care for the elderly or dependents). Among the exceptions are going to the doctor, work or educational centers, return to the place of habitual residence, care for the elderly, minors or dependents and attendance at exams or judicial, administrative or banking procedures. Zones can be crossed and citizens can move within them. The capacity and hours are the same as in the non-restricted areas. Entrances and exits from the closed ZBS to sports centers are allowed, provided that the activities are developed by physical trainers and under medical prescription.

Measures for the entire Community of Madrid

– Restoration and commerce. The closing hours of bars and restaurants are still fixed at 23:00, but these establishments cannot admit new customers after 22:00. They are allowed to distribute food until 00.00. The limit of customers at the tables on the terraces is kept at six, a maximum of four inside the premises.

As for the shops, the shutter is lowered at 10pm, and beyond that, only those that provide essential and unavoidable services such as pharmacies, medical centers, veterinarians and gas stations can remain open. Cinemas, theaters, auditoriums, tent circuses, multipurpose multipurpose halls, “similar spaces” and places of worship may end their activity after 10 pm if attendees respect the curfew.

– Curfew. It is also still from 23.00 to 6.00, mobility is prohibited, except for just cause such as going to or returning from work.

– Social meetings. It is still not possible to receive home visits, with exceptions, such as couples and married couples who live in different homes or people who live alone, who may be reunited with a single unit of coexistence.

– Gauges. In interior places the capacity is 50% and the bar service in bars and restaurants is still suspended. The exceptions to the general rule of 50% are: 75% occupancy in theaters, cinemas and other cultural facilities, 40% in multipurpose multipurpose rooms (such as the Wizink Center) and 75% in outdoor terraces, commercial establishments and centers non-regulated training.

– Easter week. Contrary to the pre-agreement that exists at the national level to prevent mobility between regions for the festivities, Madrid refuses to close at Easter and the authorities allege that the three previous perimeter films, during the autumn and winter bridges, caused a increase in cases within the community. The measures have yet to be ratified at the Interterritorial Council next Wednesday.
