Bad Wurzach – For the procession at the Holy Blood Festival on Friday, July 8th, the city center and the outskirts road III in the direction of Aitrach/Memmingen will be closed to traffic in the morning, as in previous years.
The city center in particular is therefore not accessible by car between around 5 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Residents who need their vehicles during this time are asked to park them outside of the city center in good time before the closure. The outskirts road III is closed from about 8.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. During this time the Gottesberg cannot be approached via the outskirts road III.
The entire population is cordially asked to take part in this church festival and to provide a dignified external setting by decorating the houses (flags, cloths, birch trees, flowers).
Sales stands and outdoor catering are available from the Department of Order/Social Affairs, Tel. 07564 302-214, email: This email address is being protected from spam bots! To display JavaScript must be turned on! to register. The exact locations will be discussed between the local police and those affected. At the same time, the owners of sales stands at the Holy Blood Festival are asked to support the work of the pilgrimage commission with a donation.
The city administration also points out that restaurants on the Holy Blood Festival may only start serving outside after the end of the procession.
City administration and citizens’ office closed on “Bloody Friday”. Information and brochures from “Bad Wurzach Info” are available from the employees of the nature conservation center in the joint shop, which is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with the MOOR EXTREM exhibition. In addition, the Citizens Advice Bureau was not open on the following Saturday, July 9th.
