Three marriages – three divorces
Their romance began with a scandal. Vladimir Vdovichenkov had a civil wife – actress Olga Filippova. But during the filming of Andrei Zvyagintsev’s film Leviathan, he met Elena Lyadova, and tender feelings flared up between them.
Before Filippova, Vdovichenkov married and divorced three times. All these outbursts of emotion that accompany marriages and partings turned him against the institution of marriage, and he lived with Filippova for ten years without signing.
Their daughter Veronica was growing up when the actor felt: he no longer loves Olga. A new love has entered his life. As Filippova later recalled:
“From the shooting, he returned somehow thoughtfully, sadly, and then left. I knew it was final. There was no explanation from him… I was hurt by his behavior, an open display of feelings for another woman… It seems to me that this act was vile and disrespectful to me.
Kisses and hints
The entire Leviathan film crew drew attention to how naturally Vdovichenkov and Lyadova performed explicit scenes. It seemed that they understood each other perfectly, as if they had known each other and had been linked for many years.
After filming ended, this couple, no longer in hiding, appeared everywhere together. But they have not commented on their relationship for a long time. They separated. Lyadova admitted to reporters that she was in love and added that in the man she loved, first of all, she was attracted by her talent.
Vdovichenkov, for his part, was full of compliments to Elena, repeating that she combined the tenderness of a child and the skill of an experienced actress.
They went to the Cannes Film Festival together. They held hands, embraced… And finally everything became clear at the Kinotavr. The lovers spent their free hours on the beach, and it was impossible not to notice their tender relationship: they kissed constantly, not paying attention to the curious audience.
Secret wedding
In 2015, their wedding took place, secret from all but a few of their closest friends. Vladimir Vdovichenkov entered into an official marriage for the fourth time (they never signed with Olga Filippova). Elena Lyadova got married for the first time. True, she was in a civil marriage – she lived with actor Alexander Yatsenko for eight years, and then she left because of his betrayal.
Frankly – personal
Even after the wedding, Vdovichenkov and Lyadova continued to keep silent on the subject of their personal lives, refusing to comment on their relationship. Only 6 years later, the couple agreed to talk with Svetlana Bondarchuk.
In an interview, they talked about how it all started. According to Vladimir, this could not be called love at first sight: just having met Elena, he felt that he did not want to part with her.
The fact that this is love, he guessed later. The actor admitted: Elena helped him change for the better. Before her, he often showed aggression and intolerance, and next to her he became softer and more restrained.
And Elena said that Vladimir could not accept his stepfather for a long time. She took care of her son-in-law for several years. Only then did she admit that Lena looked absolutely happy next to her husband, and she began to communicate with him.
Why don’t they ride together anymore?
After the joint filming of Leviathan, the couple appeared on the screen together several times, but then decided to stop. As Vdovichenkov explained, on the pitch he thought, first of all, of himself, of his hero. But with his beloved wife, it didn’t work out that way. In an interview with Svetlana Bondarchuk, the actor said:
“I am selfish on the pitch. I am only interested in my problems, I want to improve my role, look better in the frame. Relax during the break. Stop!” and he went on his own. You go around, roll this cotton ball around your head, come up with something. Put some pressure on your partner to be comfortable. And as a result, when you work with your wife, you have to adapt to her”.
And Elena Lyadova added: when they rehearsed joint scenes at home, all the negativity of their characters was transferred to their own lives: after all, according to the plot, they often had to conflict. Neither she nor he liked it. Therefore, it was decided to end the joint filming.
They have been together for seven years now. But the secrets of their family life have not yet been revealed to anyone: happiness loves silence.
