Restless in Duindorp district in The Hague, young people light fires

Last night and at the beginning of the night it was restless in the Duindorp district of The Hague. According to the police, there is “quite a bit” nuisance caused by young people who started fires. Photos show that a moped has been set on fire, underground waste containers have been burned out and a bus shelter has been destroyed.

Earlier in the evening, the police checked motorists, cyclists and pedestrians at all access roads to Duindorp. Police officers were fully present in the neighborhood. Riot police were also deployed, with shield and baton.

According to Broadcaster West Yesterday afternoon a message was already circulating calling for ‘chaos’ in the neighborhood. The police say they have indeed had indications that something was going to happen.
