restaurants and bars stop at 6pm, closing for gyms, swimming pools, theaters and cinemas

In the next few hours Giuseppe Conte will sign a new Prime Ministerial Decree that will contain very restrictive measures and, in fact, will represent a new step towards the lockdown. The draft of the new decree, which Fanpage.it has been able to view and on which there seems to be a broad convergence of all the forces of the government majority, provides for the confirmation of the measures envisaged with the last Dpcm and adds others of great impact on collective life. The green light of the Regions is now awaited, in the confrontation scheduled in the next few hours.

The decree states that “the activities of catering services (including bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream parlors, pastry shops) are suspended on Sundays and public holidays; on other days the aforementioned activities are allowed from 5.00 to 18.00”. A maximum of 4 people can stay at the table (unless they are all living together) and after 6 pm it will not be possible to consume food and drinks in public places. Home delivery will always be allowed, while the take-away will end at midnight, unless the Regions apply more restrictive rules. As for private homes, it is recommended not to invite non-cohabiting people, except out of necessity or urgency.

Cinemas, theaters and concert halls will also be closed in open spaces. All activities that take place in dance halls and discos and similar venues, outdoors or indoors, are suspended. Stop to all the activities of gyms, swimming pools, ski areas, swimming centers, wellness centers, spas, except for the provision of services falling within the essential levels of assistance, as well as cultural centers, social centers and recreational centers. Also closed for arcades, betting rooms and bingo halls and casinos.

Schools will remain open in presence, but “to counter the spread of the infection” secondary schools will have to adopt flexible forms of organization and use integrated digital teaching for at least 75% of the activities. Educational trips and trips remain suspended. All public and private competition procedures are suspended, with the exception of cases in which the evaluation of candidates is carried out exclusively on a curricular basis and / or electronically.

The use of masks even outdoors remains mandatory and “strongly recommended even inside private homes in the presence of non-cohabiting people”. Among other things, the Government also recommends not hosting people who do not live together in their homes, except in situations of strict necessity. The provisions, according to the latest draft, should come into force on October 26 and remain valid until November 24.
