A number of guests of a restaurant in Best in Brabant overpowered a robber on Friday evening. The man entered the eatery on the Dorpsplein around 11:20 p.m. He demanded money and threatened the guests and staff with a firearm.
The man has been handed over to the police. “Due to the decisive action of a number of guests, the man was overpowered,” says a police spokesperson. “They held him until the police came and handed him over to officers.”
Dozens of people were still in the restaurant during the robbery. According to the spokesman, many people witnessed the incident. Victim support has been called in for these people.
