Restaurant employees in Atlantis AncolNorth Jakarta, with the initials SA (22) who recorded a female visitor while bathing in the toilet transferred to social institutions. The police reveal the reason.
Head of North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKBP Iver Son Manossoh said the police had examined the perpetrator’s cellphone which was allegedly used for recording. But no video found in question.
“When the cell phone was examined, only the walls of the location were visible. The victim had not been recorded. So the criminal elements of the immoral case had not been fulfilled,” said Iver in his statement, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
Because of this, continued Iver, the perpetrator of the SA later handed over to a social institution to do construction.
“We have submitted it to Social Services for guidance,” he said.
Perpetrator Fired
Management of Ancol as the manager of Atlantis spoke about the incident. Management also confirmed that the perpetrator had now been fired.
“The suspected perpetrator who sneaked into the women’s washroom has been given a ban on being unable to work anymore in the Ancol tourist area,” wrote an official statement from the management of Atlantis Ancol on their Instagram account, Wednesday (12/4).
Ancol’s management condemned the perpetrator’s actions. The management of Ancol also apologized for the incident.
“The management of Ancol as the manager of Atlantis condemns the dishonorable actions carried out by one of the partner restaurant employees at Atlantis. For this reason, Ancol Management apologizes for this incident,” he added.
The management of Atlantis Ancol said that the perpetrator was not an employee of Ancol or Atlantis. The perpetrator is known to work at a restaurant in Atlantis.
“We inform you that the suspected perpetrators are not Atlantis employees or Ancol employees, but employees of restaurant partners,” he added.
The Ancol party, continued the statement, facilitated the victim to report the case to the authorities. Ancol will also improve service standards so that similar incidents do not happen again.
“Management also facilitates victims to report the incident to the authorities and fully supports all legal processes that apply to this incident,” he said.
