The gastronomy branch continues to suffer the effects of the Covid-19, despite the efforts of the restaurants to continue operating in the home service modality.
During this week, some businesses of this type began to close. On Monday, the first restaurant to falter was The Broken Tart, located on Guerrero Avenue. Las Espuelas y Baldos, from Morelos Street, followed by El Guaje, followed in the first square of the city, so the number of establishments that have decided to close their doors has increased to four, burdened by the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
After the call of the health authorities to the citizens to stay at home and leave only in essential cases, the union implemented strategies to continue serving diners such as the home food purchase service, as well as some discounts from 20 to 50 percent.
“We know that this is a difficult time for all of us as Mexicans, and today more than ever it is up to us to overcome it, attending to the care and prevention measures established by our institutions,” said the president of the Canirac in Nuevo Laredo, Viviano Vázquez.
“We ask them to continue supporting us, shopping for home service so that they can enjoy their dish in the comfort of their home,” said the restaurant leader.
