Italian professional football Serie A Napoli, where national team defender Kim Min-jae played full-time, won without conceding a goal.
Napoli beat Torino 4-0 in an away game in the 27th round of Serie A 2022-2023 held at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino in Turin, Italy on the 20th (Korean time).
Napoli, who lost 0-1 to Lazio on the 4th of this month and ended their 8th consecutive league win, continued their lead (71 points, 23 wins, 2 draws, 2 losses) with 2 consecutive wins on this day.
With a 19-point gap from second place Lazio (52 points, 15 wins, 7 draws, 5 losses), they are moving towards the championship without difficulty.
Napoli, which has not won the league other than the 1986-1987 season and 1989-1990 season when Diego Maradona was active, is aiming for a return to the top for the first time in 33 years.
Torino is in 11th place in the league (37 points, 10 wins, 7 draws and 10 losses).
Kim Min-jae, who was named on the starting list, played diligently until the end of the game, contributing to Napoli’s victory.
He showed ‘iron wall defense’ by attempting tackles without sacrificing himself, and in the 34th minute of the first half, after catching the ball in midfield, he quickly broke through to the left side to create an attacking opportunity for the team.
According to WhoScored.com, a soccer statistics site, Kim Min-jae attempted two tackles against Torino and succeeded in both, and recorded 3 kicks and 4 interceptions.
Napoli took an early lead with Victor Osimen’s first goal in the 9th minute of the first half, the top scorer in Serie A.
Piotr Zielinski’s corner kick was finished by Osimen with a header to score his 20th league goal.
Afterwards, Napoli suffered from Torino’s fierce counterattack, but in the 14th minute of the first half, Nicola Blasic’s strong left-footed shot from outside the penalty box was blocked by goalkeeper Alex Meret.
In the 22nd minute of the first half, Samuele Ricci’s mid-range shot was again parried by Meret, and Antonio Sanabria’s attempt to kick the second ball in front of the goal was blocked by the post.
Napoli, who overcame the crisis, found space with an extra goal in the 35th minute of the first half.
After Kim Min-jae broke through the side, Napoli continued to attack, and Hvica Kvarachhelia scored a penalty kick and succeeded directly to make it 2-0.
In the 6th minute of the second half, Osimen completed a multi-goal for Napoli, tipping the pendulum to win.
On top of that, in the 23rd minute of the second half, Tanggi Ndombele, who received a pass from Kvarachhelia, scored a key goal to confirm the victory.
After the match, WhoScored.com gave Kim Min-jae a rating of 7.4.
Osimen scored the highest with 9.2 points, Kvarachhelia scored 8.4 points, and in defense, Matthias Olivera scored 7.7 points and Giovanni DiLorenzo scored 7.6 points.
Kim Min-jae, who finished his team’s game, will join the Korean national soccer team during the A-match period in March.
He arrives in Korea on the morning of the 21st and enters the Paju NFC (National Football Team Training Center) to prepare for two consecutive A-matches against Colombia (24th) and Uruguay (28th).
