Green Zebra is a tomato cultivar (Solanum lycopersicum) developed by its creator Tom Wagner in 1983 in Everett, Washington, USA; whose fruit is characterized by its green color with yellow stripes and its resistance to cracking. To achieve this new cultivar, four others were crossed, including Evergreen, characterized by its green fruit. In our country it is little spread and it is hardly used in the fresh and industrial market, for which it is interesting to evaluate its growth conditions and its response to fertilization. The objective of this work was: to evaluate the growth and development of the Green Zebra tomato cultivar, as well as its morphophysiological responses to organic fertilization with humus and with a granulated fertilizer of industrial origin. In this study it was observed that the application of these fertilizers had an insignificant response in biomass production and fruit size, which increased by approximately 10% compared to the control. However, the production of tomatoes calculated per hectare meant an increase of 36.4% with chemical fertilizer and 25.3% with organic, which implied an increase in the profitability of this cultivar.
