No champagne celebrations were performed during the festivities. The same bottles of champagne were distributed to the three riders on the podium.
Bautista seemed to just lift the champagne bottle and put it back. The Spaniard then shook Toprak’s hand and took a group photo.
After Race 1 of WSBK Mandalika, on Saturday (12/11), Toprak had expressed his disappointment with the actions of Alvaro Bautista. At that moment Bautista uncorked the champagne and sprinkled it on Toprak.
Toprak raced close to the podium, but Bautista caught up with him. This is what makes Toprak disappointed.
Bautista’s success in winning the 2022 WSBK world title has led Ducati to truly dominate motorcycle competition this year.
Previously, Ducati rider Francesco Bagnaia also managed to become the best MotoGP rider.
WSBK 2022 leaves yet another series to WSBK Australia which takes place next week. Meanwhile, WSBK Mandalika 2023 will be held in March.
