The olive oil of the Hillman farm from Moshav Nov in the Golan won medals in prestigious competitions in Italy and Greece.

The Hillman farm’s olive vineyard was planted in 2010 by the Hillman family from Moshav Nov. The vineyard was planted at an altitude of about 430 meters above sea level near the Syrian border. It is an innovative olive vineyard that was specially planted using the mechanical harvesting method by Bozert, which gives a great advantage in speed The harvest, in the quality of the olives that ripen quickly, and move to the canvas house next to the oil stop.
In Hillman’s vineyard, they produce excellent virgin olive oil for cold pressing up to 0.4 acidity, which gives quality to the olive oil with the quality mark of the Olive Council.
On the Hillman farm, three types of varieties of olives are grown. Each variety is drawn separately. The oils are produced from the three varieties:
- Kuroneiki – mildly spicy herb, oil with a balanced taste
- Arabquina – delicate and fruity
- Cortina – bitter and strong
For the first time this year, the Hillman farm decided to send the oil to prestigious olive oil competitions in Europe. In the prestigious EVO IOOC competition that took place in Italy, they won two gold medals for the two varieties sent, Arbekina and Koroneiki. At the prestigious ATHENA competition held in Greece, they won two silver medals for the two varieties sent, Arabkina and Kuroneiki.
Israel’s ambassador in Athens, Noam Katz, honored the Hillman farm with his presence to receive the esteemed award.
