Thiruvananthapuram: In the controversial Life Mission bribery case, former Principal Secretary to Chief Minister M. Youth Congress State Secretary KS Sabrinathan congratulated Congress leader and former Vadakanchery MLA Anil Akkara after Sivashankar’s arrest. Sabrinathan wrote on Facebook that the challenges faced by Anil Akkara in bringing out the corruption stories of Life Mission were not small.

Vadakanchery MLA Anil Akare was the first to raise allegations of corruption in connection with the Vadakanchery flat construction contract, which is part of the Life Mission housing project for the poor. After making the allegation, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the CPM leadership criticized Anil.

On that day, there was a widespread campaign in the social media that Anil looked across the street to destroy the houses of the poor. Anil Akkara was defeated in the Vadakanchery constituency in the assembly elections that followed.
