Star Wars Jedi Game Plans

After Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order thrilled gamers around the world, the studio is of course thinking about what to do next with the franchise. In his statement, Wilson explicitly praised the teams responsible for Apex Legends and the Jedi games. He highlighted how much value the development team has for EA and also for players. From these statements it can be concluded that EA is interested in continuing to expand the two franchises in the future.

This was also confirmed again by Stig Asmussen, the director of the Star Wars Jedi series. He revealed that they are hoping to make the Jedi games into a trilogy. Respawn is currently hiring new developers to support the team in developing a third Jedi game. However, that’s not all that fans of Respawn’s Star Wars games can look forward to.

More games are in development

Respawn isn’t just working on a third Star Wars Jedi game. Apparently they want to deepen the cooperation with LucasArts outside of the Jedi domain. The studio is currently working on at least two more Star Wars games. The two games are in internal development. One of them is said to be an FPS game that is being developed together with Peter Hirschmann, a former LucasArts veteran. Hirschmann was already involved in the Medal of Honor games, among other things.

The second well-known game goes in a different direction. It is said to be a strategy game that is being developed in collaboration with Bit Reactor, a new studio. The studio may be new, but veterans from other major projects are also involved in this development. You previously worked for Firaxis Game. The studio worked on projects such as XCOM and Civilization, among others.
