The 12th Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China held its second plenary session on December 22, 2022.

The plenary session was attended by 76 municipal party committee members and 12 municipal party committee alternate members. The plenary session was attended by members of the Municipal Commission for Disciplinary Inspection, responsible comrades of the relevant parties, some Shanghai representatives of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and representatives of the 12th Municipal Party Congress.

The plenary session stressed that next year is the first year to fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and is also a crucial year for the implementation of the “14th Five-Year Plan”. The plenary session stressed that the key to advancing socialist modernization lies in the party. The plenary session considered that it was imperative to revise the “Working Rules of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China”.
