Resignation Rates in NY, NJ, CT – NBC New York (47)

NEW YORK — The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have had a major impact on the world of work known as “The Great Resignation.”

Millions of workers, many of whom are stressed, overworked or just need a change, have quit their jobs every month.

However, the rate at which people leave their jobs is not the same across the country.

With this in mind, WalletHub published a list detailing which states had the highest job quit rates, and it turns out that New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut are among the states with the lowest quit rates.

New York was crowned the state with the lowest rate of resignations, at 1.7% in the last month and 1.95% in the last 12 months, according to the WalletHub study.

Following closely with the third lowest rate, Connecticut had a quit rate of 1.9% in the last month and 2.24% in the last 12 months, revealed WalletHub listing.

Meanwhile, the Garden State had the ninth lowest quit rate. WalletHub reported a quit rate of 2.3% in the last month and 2.48% in the last year in New Jersey.

Given that all three states did not experience high quit rates, according to WalletHub, which state saw the highest job quit rate? That state is Alaska. According to WalletHubthe last month quit rate for Alaska stands at 3.9% and 4.15% over the last 12 months.
