TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Ira Noviarti has sent a letter of resignation as President Director of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk. This was confirmed by the Director and Corporate Secretary of Unilever Indonesia Nurdiana Darus.
“In connection with personal reasons,” said Nurdiana, quoted from a letter sent by Unilever Indonesia to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) dated Thursday, October 25, 2023.
Nurdiana explained that Ira’s resignation would be effective as soon as it was approved by the next Unilever Indonesia General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS). However, he did not say when the GMS would be held.
“The main shareholder of the Company plans to propose Benjie Yap as the new President Director of the Company to be approved by the same GMS,” said Nurdiana.
According to Nurdiana, Ira Noviarti’s resignation did not have a significant impact on the operational activities, law, financial condition or business continuity of the issuer coded stock the UNVR.

Reporting from the official Unilever Indonesia website, Ira Noviarti was born and lives in Jakarta. He earned a degree in Financial Accounting from the University of Indonesia in 1995.
Ira was then appointed as President Director by the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) on 25 November 2020. He officially assumed the position of President Director of Unilever Indonesia on 1 December 2020.
Ira joined Unilever Indonesia in 1995. He held several senior positions during his tenure at Unilever, not only in Indonesia but also in Southeast Asia.
Before serving as President Director, Ira served as Beauty & Personal Care Director of PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (2017-2020), Managing Director for Unilever Foods Solutions South East Asia (2015-2017), and Ice Cream, Media and Consumer Market Insight Director at PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (2010-2015).
