These are fifteen difficult days spent by residents and caregivers of the accommodation establishment for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) Madeleine-des-Garets, without forgetting the families. Indeed, from the 10th to the 24th last April, the Ehpad was confronted with a major Covid and flu cluster. The management has, unfortunately, been forced to confine the establishment to control the spread of viruses and ensure optimal care of its fragile residents. The effort of each and everyone during this difficult period, the daily attention paid by caregivers to residents to reassure them and maintain a social life despite the difficult and anxiety-provoking context made it possible to reopen the residence for visits and outings on Monday 25 april. This episode should remind everyone that the elderly in Ehpad are fragile people who must be protected and that respect by each of the barrier gestures therefore remains necessary.
The Trèbes entraide association is always present alongside the seniors of the Ehpad. Their volunteers did not forget to offer Easter chocolates, as well as very pretty flowers for Labor Day.
Nice attentions that brought a bit of joy and comfort to the residents.
