/ world today news/ The messages of BSP LEFT BULGARIA bring hope for a different future to the residents of the Nadezhda metropolitan area.
This became clear during a meeting of the leftist candidate for mayor Prof. Mihail Mirchev with people who live in the area. Mirchev, together with the chairman of the General Assembly of the BSP Kaloyan Pargov, the candidate for mayor of “Nadezhda” Marin Stoyanov and the candidate for municipal councilor Rumen Petkov toured the markets and shops in the area. In front of them, people shared their problems, the daily clashes with the ineffective capital administration and the absolute unwillingness of the current administration in the city to solve the real problems.
During the meeting with the public afterwards in the packed hall of the “Ustrem” club, Professor Mirchev presented the main highlights of his program for changing Sofia. The main one is the striking contradiction between seven districts in Sofia and the rest of the districts. The financial flows of the capital are directed mainly to these seven districts, and thus the absurd situation is obtained that with the money of the people from the outer districts, the improvement of the areas where the wealthier live is ensured.
According to Mirchev, the budget of the capital is distributed very unfairly, and it is time to change this if Sofia wants to be a harmoniously developing city, and not resemble a settlement from a banana republic. For their part, the people of “Nadezhda” promised support for the left and threatened to use the preferential vote to make their voice heard.
