Gent –
It will be busy in Flanders Expo: in the next two weeks, 47,000 vaccines will be used, 29,000 of which will be first shots. Younger people are also getting their turn: those born in 1976 or earlier will receive an invitation very soon.

Week after week, the vaccination campaign shifts up a gear in Ghent. This week it was still quite calm with about 9,4000 vaccines, next week there are 17,000 doses available. In the week of June 7, no less than 30,000 shots will be taken.
As more and more vaccines are available, younger people are also being invited. While only the first fifty-somethings from the broad population received their invitation this week, the 50 to 45-year-olds should keep an eye on their mailbox in the coming days.
In the meantime, 44.5 percent of adult residents of Ghent have already received at least their first vaccine. The milestone of 100,000 vaccinated people will be reached next week.
