Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com).- Residents of Baregbeg Village/Sub-district, Ciamis Regency, West Java, enthusiastically participated in the sunbathing competition on Tuesday (17/8/2021).
The activity was carried out by Karang Taruna Raksabumi Baregbeg to enliven the 76th HUT RI.
Participants also wear sarongs and must wear masks and keep their distance.
Unmitigated, the prizes that the committee provided were cash and trophies.
The event organizing committee, Rudiyat said, this competition was an effort to educate the public to regularly bask in the sun during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Bask in the sun in an effort to get vitamin D.
“Because vitamin D is believed to be able to ward off the Corona virus, so this activity is very good during the pandemic,” he said.

Rudiyat explained, the rule in this competition is that anyone who can bask for a long time under the hot sun has the right to win and become the winner of the competition.
“The prizes are trophies and cash. So, in addition to entertainment, this activity is also an immune booster,” he explained.
Rudiyat hopes that through this competition, hopefully it can provide an example and educate the public so that they can bask in the hot sun, in order to avoid exposure to the Corona virus.
