Residents of Aktau blocked the road due to lack of drinking water and heating

news-id-116609" style="display:inline;">Residents of the Shanyrak residential complex in microdistrict 32B blocked traffic on the evening of November 16. People protested due to the lack of drinking water and heating in their apartments.

The video footage, which was sent to the editorial office of Lada.kz, shows how residents lined up in a human chain at a pedestrian crossing as a sign of protest, blocking the passage for cars.

– There is no water, no heating either. How many times have we contacted both the akimat and the developer, nothing changes, every other day there is no water, or there is no water all day, and in the evening they do not provide water. After 23:00 there is no water pressure at all. The housing office says that they are not responsible, the construction company “K7 group” also says that it is not responsible for this. They “football” us, send us here and there, and no one gives an intelligible answer. “We are already tired of enduring, and we don’t know who to ask,” residents complain.

The city akimat commented on complaints from residents due to weak water pressure for several days.

– In connection with complaints received from residents, an inspection was carried out, as a result of which a break was detected in the drinking water pipeline. According to the documents, these networks are on the balance sheet of the K7 group construction company. In general, previously there have been complications with water and heat supply on these networks. However, due to the fact that these utility networks are on the balance sheet of a private construction company, city utilities do not have the opportunity to constantly monitor the networks. Currently, the contractor, together with the emergency group of the city’s utilities, is working to restore water supply, the city administration reported.

The akimat also noted that after explanatory work carried out with residents, people went home, and road traffic was restored.
