Residents in the United States could receive payment of up to $914 dollars in September

Payments of up to $914.00 USD will be sent by Social Security to recipients of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program. In this sense, the first batch of payments of the program will be sent on September 1. Therefore, taxpayers who file their taxes individually could receive up to $914.00 USD.

In this way, in the month of September, two rounds of payment will take place. The first will be on Friday the 1st, and the second on Friday the 29th.

This second payment will be made instead of the one that should have been made in October. This occurs because October 1 falls on a weekend, which is a non-business day.

For their part, SSI recipients generally receive only one payment each month, but sometimes receive two.

In this sense, the months of March, June, September and December two checks are issued. As is evident, the first day of the months of April, July and October are weekends and January 1 is a holiday.

Therefore, the beneficiaries do not receive payments in April, July or October of this year or in January 2024 because they are brought forward.

Who qualifies for this program?

To qualify for the Supplemental Security program, applicants must be over 65 years of age and meet certain financial requirements.

In addition, there are exceptions so that those under 65 can also qualify. This would occur if they are at least partially blind or have a physical or mental condition that limits their daily activities for at least one year.

An important aspect is that married couples who file taxes jointly could receive $1371.00 USD each month

On the other hand, those who file a declaration independently may have up to $914.00 USD on a monthly basis. Meanwhile, essential people who live with and care for people receiving SSI payments receive a monthly payment of up to $458.00.
